Evhead Quits Google (and more) Well, it looks like the founder of Pyra, Evan Williams a.k.a "evhead" is quitting Google. For those who're not in the know, Evan was the the co-founder and CEO of Pyra Labs, the creators of Blogger. And it looks like he has plans of starting yet another venture, which I think should prove quite interesting! I particularly liked what he had to say about the IT industry - "A few months ago, I started getting the itch to start another company. There is so much momentum and opportunity on the web right now (he says, as if there hasn't been for the last 10 years). And, naturally, I have the "If I knew then, what I know now" feeling that makes starting again an exciting -- if daunting -- prospect." Indeed, Evan! As long as there are good ideas, recession or no recession, DotCom or DotBomb, innovation will never go unnoticed. Goodluck, mate. While we are still on the topic of innovation, this was an interesting article on Slashdot today - Rolling out your own television network using Bittorrent. Definitely worth a read and worth more than just a thought. And in other news, Web 2.0 Conference is up and running in San Francisco. So far, it's been quite interesting to watch. Let's see how it goes the next couple of days. Ghost in the Shell 2 - Innocence I happened to watch Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. It was quite cool -- not as good as the first part, but just different. Ofcourse, the graphics were quite breathtaking.
